Keyboard shortcuts
Every Struxt3D keyboard shortcut: run the analysis and design, undo and redo, save and open, delete, cancel tools, and step values with the arrow keys.

Struxt3D works with the mouse alone, but a handful of keys make it faster. On a Mac, use ⌘ Cmd where the table says Ctrl. You can also see the main ones in the app under Help › Keyboard shortcuts in the Full interface.
Analysis and design
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
| F5 or Ctrl+Enter | Run the analysis |
| F6 | Run the design (analyses first) |
In some browsers F5 normally reloads the page; inside Struxt3D it runs the analysis instead.
Files
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
| Ctrl+S | Save the project as a .s3d file |
| Ctrl+O | Open a project file |
Editing
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
| Ctrl+Z | Undo |
| Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z | Redo |
| Delete or Backspace | Delete the selected member or node (in the workspace) |
| Esc | Stop the active tool and return to Select; with Select active, clear the selection |
Undo, redo and delete do nothing while you are typing in a field, so they never interfere with editing a value.
Values, menus and windows
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
| ↑ / ↓ | In a size or load value: step it up or down |
| Enter | In a value: apply what you typed |
| Arrow keys | Move through the menus of the Full interface |
| Esc | Close the calculation report or the shop drawings window; close the “Switch to the full interface?” question |
3D view
| Mouse | Action |
|---|---|
| Left drag | Orbit |
| Right or middle drag | Pan |
| Wheel | Zoom |
| Click | Select (with the Select tool), or use the active tool |
See The interface for the view buttons — fit all, isometric, top and front.
