Privacy
Short version: your models stay on your device.
Your models
Struxt3D runs entirely in your browser. The model you are working on is kept in your browser's local storage so it is still there when you return, and files you save go to your own computer. Models, results and reports are never uploaded to us.
Settings stored in your browser
The app and this website store a few preferences in local storage, such as the interface mode (Simple or Full), the light or dark theme, and your answer to the privacy question below. You can clear them at any time in your browser's site settings.
No accounts, no cookies, no third-party tracking
There is no sign-up, no advertising, no cookies and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this site or in the app.
Anonymous usage counts
To learn which pages and features are used, the website and the app send a short note to our own server when you open a page, pick a template, start an empty model, run an analysis or design, or save or open a project file. Each note says only what happened, one short detail (such as the tutorial, the template name, or whether the design passed), which part of the site it was, whether your screen is phone, tablet or desktop sized, and which website linked you here. Our host adds the country the request came from.
These notes contain no ID, no IP address, no browser details and nothing from your model, so they cannot be linked to you or to each other. They are sent whether or not you allow the visitor ID below.
The anonymous visitor ID (only if you allow it)
The first time you visit, a small box asks Can we count your visits? If you choose Allow, your browser makes up a random ID and keeps it in local storage, so we can tell a return visit from a new one. With it, the notes above also carry: that ID, a session ID that changes after 30 minutes without activity, the page's address (without anything after the ?) and title, how long the page was on screen and in use, how far you scrolled, your browser language, time zone and screen size, your browser and operating system family (such as "Chrome on Windows", not the version), and any campaign tags (utm_) in the link you arrived by.
The ID is not your name, cannot be traced to your IP address (we do not store it), and is never shared, sold or used for advertising. Clearing your browser data, a private window or another device gives a new ID. If you choose No thanks or ignore the box, nothing is stored for this.
You can change your answer at any time with at the bottom of every page, or in the app under Help › Privacy choices. Saying no later deletes the ID from your browser.
How long we keep it
Usage notes and visit records are deleted automatically after about 13 months.
Services that see your request
- Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as your IP address and browser) to deliver the pages and protect the service.
- Fonts. The Geist typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, which receives a request from your browser when a page loads.
Changes
If this changes — for example if accounts or cloud saving are added — this page will be updated first.
